Occupational Health at Texas A&M
The Occupational Health Program at Texas A&M University integrates exposure assessment, risk mitigation, and medical surveillance services to improve the occupational health and safety of the Texas A&M community and to comply with federal and state regulations.
Occupational health services at Texas A&M are provided by two entities on campus:
Occupational health for biological hazards, which includes microorganisms, biological toxins, and allergens from humans or animals, is provided through the Biosafety Occupational Health Program (BOHP) and administered through the Office of Research Compliance and Biosafety.
Occupational health needs such a radiation safety, chemical safety, respiratory protection, and hearing protection are provided by the Environmental Health and Safety Department (EHS).
Health care services are provided by a health care provider under contract to Texas A&M.
