Committee Review

Not all IBC submissions require review by the IBC.  For example, activities which do not involve the use of recombinant materials; room change or personnel change requests do not require review by the committee.

If the submission requires full committee review, the biosafety program will add the submission to the agenda of an upcoming meeting (pending completed review). The principal investigator will be invited to attend the meeting. The meeting schedule and location is posted below:

If the permit does not need to be reviewed at a convened IBC meeting, the IBC chair is authorized to review and approve the permit, on behalf of the IBC.
